Affair with Life

Silence I speak

There is a hand that walks the mountains of my body
There is a mouth that whispers to my trees
There is an eye that watches me too nearly
There is a corner you wait to meet me .

There is a voice that grows inside my flowers
There is a walk I know from away
There is a *you* in all my parts
Of dreams that may travel today .

My rights that nearly were given
Only for hands to take them away
My thoughts were only a whisper
Your  word has crushed them today .

I cry but I know not how to curse
I break myself on floors that care less
You cry the clouds of my heart
And after you sway them away .

I see the shades that keep you in light
Your murmur – I hear it within
I know how your pain pains you not
As you know I suffer in vain .
